Piano Tuning

John Wrasse began his business over 25 years ago doing piano restoration. He is well known in the industry as a master craftsman dealing with all aspects of piano repair, restoration and tuning.

Every piano should be tuned at least twice a year if moderately used. For heavy or professional use more frequent service is required. A piano is typically tuned before each performance for a concert. A tuning schedule should coincide with the heating cycle of the room in which the piano is located. In the spring or the fall allow the piano to aclimate to the new humidity level for 2 to 3 weeks and then have it tuned.
